Terms and conditions

Last updated:

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders and the use of our software services by consumers and businesses. Please note: Physical floor laying services are subject to separate terms, which will be agreed upon individually when placing an order.

2. Contracting party and conclusion of contract

Your contracting party is Dr. Florenz Graf, trading as Autolay, Oelschlaegerstraße 26, 70619 Stuttgart, Germany (“we”). You can reach us by email at info@autolay.com or through our contact form. Making our software services available on the platform constitutes a binding offer to enter into a user agreement.

3. Warranty and limitation of liability

We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the data calculated by the software; these values serve strictly as planning guidelines. We are only liable for intent and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence regarding essential contractual obligations, our liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. These limitations do not apply in cases of injury to life, body, or health.

4. Pricing and contract changes

Autolay reserves the right to adjust prices for future services that have not yet been ordered. We also reserve the right to transition the software from a free tier to a paid subscription model. Such a change requires your explicit consent. If consent is not granted, access to the free services may be terminated.

5. Delivery and performance times

Unless stated otherwise, our digital services are provided as one-time deliveries. Final provisioning is carried out according to the details in the respective order confirmation.

6. Dispute resolution

We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

7. User uploads and rights of use

Files you upload remain yours. Only upload files you hold the necessary rights to. You allow us to store and process them as far as we need to in order to provide our service to you. We also place a copy on our development computer in Germany and use it to train our recognition models and improve our products; for this you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right of use. You can object to this use at any time by email to info@autolay.com, without giving reasons; objections you have already made remain in effect. The copy is deleted when you delete your account, when your guest plan expires, or when you object. One exception: if you are signed in and upload a file you never save, we remove the original after 24 hours but keep the copy for 24 months to improve our products, then delete it. If you object, we delete this copy at once as well. Details are in our privacy policy.

8. Content, reports and measures

You must not upload or share content through our service that:

  • is illegal;
  • violates the rights of others, for example copyright, trademarks or personal rights (such as someone else’s floor plans without permission, or photos of people without their consent);
  • contains malicious software or is meant to disrupt our service.

Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or breaks these terms: with “Report this content” on a shared plan, through our contact form or by email to info@autolay.com. Please include the link to the content and the reason for your report. We review every report promptly, carefully and objectively, and tell you the outcome.

If content breaks the law or these terms, we may remove it, disable a share link, or suspend an account temporarily or permanently. We take into account how serious the violation is and whether it is repeated. A person reviews reports and decides on measures; we do not use automated tools for this.

When we take such a measure, we tell the person concerned the reasons (Article 17 Digital Services Act), as far as we know their email address: what we did, on what grounds, and how to challenge it.

If you disagree with a decision on a report or a measure, write to us through the contact form or to info@autolay.com. A member of our team will then review the case again. Your right to go to court is not affected.
