What is a floor-laying robot?

A floor-laying robot is a mobile machine that lays floor covering by itself: it locates each tile or plank, cuts it to fit the room, applies adhesive and sets it in place — the work a tiler or parquet layer does by hand, done by a machine.

It is not a cleaning robot and not a warehouse vehicle. Autolay's robot is built for one job: installing new flooring on real construction sites, room by room.

How the Autolay robot lays a floor

The robot turns a digital floor plan into a finished floor in four steps:

Plan: your floor plan becomes an optimized, low-waste layout of every tile and cut.
Position: the robot localizes itself in the room to sub-millimeter accuracy.
Cut: each piece is measured and cut to fit walls, corners and doorways.
Set: adhesive is applied and every piece is placed exactly on the plan.
