Can I preview my floor layout before buying?
Yes – the free Autolay planner lays your actual room plank by plank and shows it in 3D, in the material and pattern you choose, together with the packs to buy and a price estimate, before you order anything.
Open the free planner →A preview is only useful if it shows your room, not a showroom picture. The planner starts from your floor plan or your room's measurements and lays the real pieces: you see where the seams fall, how narrow the last row gets and which pieces are cut, so you can compare patterns and directions while changing them costs nothing.
Because the same plan also counts the packs and prices them, the preview answers the two questions that matter before buying: does it look right, and how much do I need?
How it works, step by step
- Bring in the room. Upload a floor plan (photo, PDF, DXF drawing, 3D scan or IFC building model) or type the room's sides.
- Pick the floor. Choose a material from the catalog – laminate, vinyl, parquet or tiles – or type your own piece size. You can also upload a photo of the plank you are considering as its surface.
- Set the pattern and direction. Choose straight, staggered by a half or a third, herringbone or chevron at 45° or 60°, the laying direction and where the first piece starts.
- Look at it in 3D. Turn and zoom the room. Full pieces, cut pieces, reused off-cuts and pieces to measure on site are marked, and each piece shows its exact size when you hover over or tap it.
- Compare and decide. Change the pattern or direction and the plan is laid again. The piece count, the packs, the waste and the price estimate follow each change; share the plan by link or download it as a PDF.
What it does not do
- The catalog surfaces are illustrations, and screens show colors differently: judge the real color on a sample.
- Reference prices are guide values that differ by country, not an offer; type the price from your dealer to get your own total.
- Furniture is not shown – the preview is the bare floor.
- The room is only as exact as the plan or measurements you give it.

More questions on this topic
- Can I preview my floor layout before buying?
- Yes. The free Autolay planner lays your own room from a floor plan or typed measurements, shows it in 3D in the material and pattern you choose, and gives the piece count, packs and a price estimate, so you can compare options before you order.
- Can I use the plank I actually want to buy?
- Type its length and width, and optionally upload a photo of its surface. The plan then uses exactly that size, and the pack count uses the pieces per pack you enter.
- Can I show the preview to someone else?
- Yes. Create a share link and the other person sees the same plan and can download its PDF; the link works for 90 days unless you withdraw it.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. The planner, the preview and the PDF download are free.
