The planner does not multiply length by width and add a fixed waste percentage. It lays your actual room out tile by tile with real product sizes, counts every full and every cut piece, then rounds the order up to whole packs. The waste figure is the result of that plan — never a number you assume in advance. These are the same figures the printable quote and PDF export show.

The waste percentage is measured against the floor the tiles actually cover — 19.82 m² here, the room minus the 10 mm expansion gap along the walls — which is the same basis the planner, the PDF quote and the API use.
